The story
Restoring Loch Fyne
A stranded design consultant. A grieving, grumpy Highlander. A cottage that refuses to be finished — much like the two of them.
When an agency sends Fiona Ellis to survey a remote Highland cottage for a holiday-let conversion, she doesn't expect to find the place already occupied — or the man living in it furious that she's there at all. Callum Ross isn't renovating a holiday let. He's finishing the home his brother never got to see completed, one careful board at a time, and he has no intention of selling to strangers, no matter what paperwork says otherwise.
Stranded by a tidal causeway with nowhere else to go, Fiona finds herself trading her professional distance for flour-dusted mornings, whisky-warmed evenings, and a growing understanding of exactly what Callum is trying to protect — and why. Two years spent making herself smaller for a man who never once noticed the cost taught her to want things quietly. Callum, guarding grief behind gruffness and a half-finished kitchen, is teaching her, slowly, that wanting something loudly might not be so dangerous after all.
But the cottage comes with more than a beautiful, half-exposed beam. A brother fighting for his share of an inheritance neither of them can quite let go of. A past neither Fiona nor Callum has fully said out loud. And a tide that won't wait forever for either of them to decide what they're staying for.
Restoring Loch Fyne is a slow-burn, grumpy/sunshine romance about grief, home, and learning to want things out loud — set against the wild, unforgettable beauty of the Scottish Highlands.
